With many uncertainties surrounding our lives, Mumbai's terror attack perfectly fit into the frame. Wednesday the 26th Nov was Mumbai's devastating moments of the era. With fresh shots gunned down, Mumbai's two star hotels and Nariman house emerged into terror grounds. These deafening shots continued as fierce war started late into the night on Thursday at these star hotels and Nariman House in South Mumbai. A group of 25 terrorists entered Mumbai from Gurajat and dispersed in different directions to cause chaos inside Mumbai. The first attack occurred at the Leopold cafe at 9.15 pm on Wednesday Nov 26 with 5 terrorists attacking the crowd inside the cafe with open fire. At about 9.30 pm, few terrorists holed up the star hotels and also ran into Nariman house building to start their attack. The terrorists surfaced until morning holding innocent people as hostages and also killing hotel staffs. Nearly 100 were trapped as hostages during the initial stages of attack. This fierce battle was ended with the entry of NSG commandos who rappelled down to free the victimized hostages. Even as India's Special Forces and police succeeded in freeing the hostages held inside the trapped zones, the ATS chief, Senior inspector, Maharastra DGP and few commandos have laid their lives during this rescue attempt. A NSG commander laid his life at the attempt to rescue four hostages held by terrorists at the religious center in Nariman House. Finally, after 60 hours of fight and struggle, the war ended with the lose of India's finest patriots. With my heart and soul plunged in grief, I pay my tribute to these great martyrs. May their soul rest in peace and God comfort their families. The lives laid down by these Javaans should remain an icon of Patriotism in the minds and heart of today's' youth. With this tragic incident taking the center stage, all Indians must rise up against terrorism that has been exploiting and deploring our nation on rational grounds.
