2016 Year-clock (My times are in God's hands, Psalms 31:15)

There is always a reason to begin 2016 with interesting goals. As the clock ticks off months, weeks, days and hours, I decide to do these for this year.

1. Try to Look 20; Feel 16 ;)
2. Clear vision and goals for humanity.
3. Broader approach to life - more love, courage and warmth to people
5. Visit atleast two new places (inside/outside India)
6. Make the most of every opportunity to thank God (Eph 5:6)
7. Overcome atleast one challenge in my life. May be loose some weight ;-p

My miracles at work

God has been very gracious to me at my work place. As how the verse says, "My Grace is sufficient for thee" 2 Cor 12:9, I am doing good and sustained in Cisco by His grace. God has done three miracles for me at Cisco. First of all, I joining as technical writer in Cisco is purely by His grace. I remember the day I came for the interviews. God was very gracious to help me clear the test and technical interviews. Also, after joining, He gave me success at work in all projects. Until one day, I understood the real purpose of my stay at Cisco. One day, through one of colleagues, I heard that there is a prayer fellowship happening every Wednesday in the campus.

As I was always praying to God to be part of a prayer group and serve Him at work, Just in time, I heard about the prayer group. This colleague introduced me to the group and later he moved out of the company. His purpose to meet me before moving out was God's plan. From then on, I've been praying to God for the salvation of Cisco. God has put that burden in my heart to pray for people's salvation and also for needy ones at work place.

The second miracle was my contract being extended. One day, I heard from the management that all contractors will be terminated within a week. Though all contractors moved out, God's plan for me was different. His work at Cisco through me was not over. Miraculously, God helped me to find a new project and over night my consulting company changes hands giving me a hike of 10% in CTC. Praise God! God is good at all times. This was a blessing in disguise to me. I was able to testify this for God's glory. God helped me to find project even without an interview or any process. Though there were lot of spiritual struggles at work, still God strengthened me at work. I always saw God as a redeemer at work.

The third miracle was the move to a new project. This was purely and only by His grace. God was good to me and helped me to find a new project. He helped me to clear the test and interviews. My stay in Cisco for the last 1.6 years is ONLY by his grace. After experiencing these miracles at work, I feel that we only need God's grace to submit, survive, and sustain our lives. May this same Jesus hear your prayers when you seek Him "For those who call upon His name will put their trust in Him. He will not forsake them that seek Him" Psalms 9:10.

Nature's Enlightment

Roaring waves keep ringing in my ears,
Tingling of bells keep singing in my heart;

Tweetering of birds keep cheering my soul,
And garland of flowers keep swaying its fresh incense;

As I open my windows to green meadows,
A deep breath of air freshens to start a new day.

As 2014 Dawns on me

Reading few blogs, I decided to write a letter to myself about the plans I have for this year. And you always get some fun when you read them at the end of the year. As another year gets stringed to my life span, I am happy to enjoy another fresh year with plans and passions for career and of course some for life.
As always delighted, I have plans to write a memoir on few instances of my life, plan to visit a place at the cross-borders, and go photography on nature. So I welcome 2014 with an artistic ambition in anything at all.

One fine morning...

Today I really have something to share. This is an abstract incident that happened in a man's mundane morning at his boarding bus point. Sridhar was waiting for his usual staff bus that picks him up at Chengalpet checkpost. It was Tuesday, April 9th at 8.30 a hot tropical day. The place was sign of a busy trafficing zone. Trucks and autombiles were speeding up and down. But there was no sign of his favorite Volvo bus that attarcts major communting employees in his office. This route bus was the BEST and there was strands of ppl waiting to board their bus for the day. As he was thuming a text to his manager that his day's work would start a little day due bus being delayed, his eyes caught the attention of an elderly woman walking from pillar to post in the MTC bus terminal at the other end of the road.

Far across the road, was chengalpet MTC bus terminus with loads of ppl flooding in and out of buses at the usual boarding point. This old lady appeared helpless and fumbled something to herself. Looking at her he walk towards her to know if he could help at her need. Not able to contain within himself, Sridhar moved towards the old lady wanting to know her despondency. As he walked closer, he heard her asking ppl if Kanchipuram bus would stop by at this terminus.

All ppl looked at wonderment, as this was a bus terminus with all kanchipuram bus stopping by but still the lady kept asking the same question to ppl around. This suprised Sridhar more and insticated him to tell the oldie that there are few kanchipuram buses already harboured at terminus waiting to start off in new minutes and she could board them. Looking at awe, the Oldie replied with no haste, that she was waiting for a bus that comes from Kanchipuram to Chengalpet and her daughter would be travelling in that to reach this place.

As she told this, she kept fumbling something to herself. She appeared very worried and sunk to saddness in her heart. As Sridhar listened further, she told that her daughter was 35 years old married to a cobbler and dunkard.

The only things that her daughter witnessed in her life was fights and beating all the time. Sometimes she was beaten black and blue and returned to her mother's place to find a breakthrough from the stress.

The oldie, everytime would console and advice her daughter and get her back to her husband's place. This is the usual routine and this time there had been a major hassle at her daughter's place and her daughter is on her way back to chengalpet. Hearing this worried Sridhar a lot. Instantly he kept a close tab to watch if his bus had reached the place.

With a worried heart and lose of flower business for the day, the Oldie hurried forward to the other end of bus terminus. As she jus moved, two little kids run towards her and kissed her. Sridhar thought these must be her grandchildren. But there was no sign of her daughter. Was she coming behind or not coming? Sridhar mind was qizzing on many things. He could see the kids handling a chit to the oldie. Being an illiterate, she wanted Sridhar to help read it for her.

Reading the short message that was written, Sridhar was doubtful whether to convey the message to her. But he must tell it out. He conveyed to her that her daughter was not coming this time and has decided to find her fatal destiny by herself but wanted her mother to take care of her kids.

This may have touched Sridhar heart and would have been a pounding day. But the Oldie looked quite casual and move along with the kids. Sometimes we like the oldie are led through disappointments and storms of life. While some like Sridhar stand irresolute on life's far end not knowing what to help the society These are like mixed pieces of sand in a river bed. Only if these pieces of sand is there the river earns a steady flow of water. This is LIFE! FACE it to LIVE it.

Experience every moment, simply by being in that moment wholeheartedly, with all your five senses deep within that very experience…and see how when you look back to that experience, you will remember every little detail like a movie playing in your head.

As I tread my journey....

Life is a journey to travel
Stuck to this traffic is my life.

Irresolute I stand on the way
On a cold weary day!

Patience! Patience! Patience! is all I need
But will this really solve my need?

As days go by and pass each day
I continue to walk my way.

The end is still a question
and that is my life's mission!

Don't Quit
This is an inspirational poem that you will refer whenver you are a bit less motivated. It's a great way to get back on track again whenever you feel down/in a rut/have some kind of block on your road.

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill
When the funds are low and debuts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit --
Rest if you must, but don't quit.

Life is strange with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out
Don't give up though the pace seems slow --
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a fair and faltering main
Ofter the struggler has given up
when he might have captured the victor cup
And he learned too late when night came down
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar,
So stick to the fight when you are hardest hit --
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quite

Save the Indian woMAN

Indian society still continues to discriminate women rights. Though women continue to grow potentially in many areas of lifestyle, still their fundamental rights seem to be plucked from her hand. The fabric called society has been torn and importance of Indian marriages is no more sacred but remains soluble within a short span. Ailing to this situation, we have woman earning more and more confidence to lead their her life independently. Today's woman have groomed to earn her living and tailor her needs effectively.

Supporting these, will there continue to be sacred Indian woman? or Contemporary lifestyle continue to be the cover page of today's woMAN?

Life and Culture

Culture shock is a malady which affects many of us these days. The inate qualities of people in India has changed in course time. Be it a girl from royal linearage to princess of urban slums believe inculture change. This cross-culture adaptability is led the change in qualities of ones behaviour. People believe that changing oneself with growing trends of the world would earn them more confidence. They never on the verge of understanding that such confidence stays only momentary but never earn confidence over life. The best way to learn confidence and faith over life is to learn your life skills by learning from your mistakes and misharps in life. This is best way to groom oneself.

Mumbai Gun Fight

With many uncertainties surrounding our lives, Mumbai's terror attack perfectly fit into the frame. Wednesday the 26th Nov was Mumbai's devastating moments of the era. With fresh shots gunned down, Mumbai's two star hotels and Nariman house emerged into terror grounds. These deafening shots continued as fierce war started late into the night on Thursday at these star hotels and Nariman House in South Mumbai. A group of 25 terrorists entered Mumbai from Gurajat and dispersed in different directions to cause chaos inside Mumbai. The first attack occurred at the Leopold cafe at 9.15 pm on Wednesday Nov 26 with 5 terrorists attacking the crowd inside the cafe with open fire. At about 9.30 pm, few terrorists holed up the star hotels and also ran into Nariman house building to start their attack. The terrorists surfaced until morning holding innocent people as hostages and also killing hotel staffs. Nearly 100 were trapped as hostages during the initial stages of attack. This fierce battle was ended with the entry of NSG commandos who rappelled down to free the victimized hostages. Even as India's Special Forces and police succeeded in freeing the hostages held inside the trapped zones, the ATS chief, Senior inspector, Maharastra DGP and few commandos have laid their lives during this rescue attempt. A NSG commander laid his life at the attempt to rescue four hostages held by terrorists at the religious center in Nariman House. Finally, after 60 hours of fight and struggle, the war ended with the lose of India's finest patriots. With my heart and soul plunged in grief, I pay my tribute to these great martyrs. May their soul rest in peace and God comfort their families. The lives laid down by these Javaans should remain an icon of Patriotism in the minds and heart of today's' youth. With this tragic incident taking the center stage, all Indians must rise up against terrorism that has been exploiting and deploring our nation on rational grounds.

What personality are U at Work?

All of us have dominant personalities living inside us. These personalities speaks about our traits and character. When you learn to spot such personalities in people, the better you will be able to communicate with them knowing their strengths and weakness. Spoting personality in a person helps you to build a standing relationship in business or family. There a four types of personalities living dormant in a man's life - Sanguines, Melancholies, Phlegmatics, and Cholerics. Lets see how each react and how we can maintain a happy relationship with each at our work arena.
Sanguines - These personas are open and direct. They are cheerful, talkative, adventurous and driven very fast. Strengths: They are extremely adaptable and enthusiatic so will enjoy to be good team player accepting challenging circumstances.Weakness: They are very unorganized, hasty in making decisions or bounce around from one movement to another never finishing anything.
Melancholies - These personas are indirect and self contained. They are best organized people on the planet. They list out everything statistically and are neatly drawn to complete them. Weakness - They think a lot and complete things very slowly however things are well done and appreciated, Over analyse things and show less affectionStrengths - Tidy at work and do a perfect work at slow speed.
Phlegma - These are nurturers and would love to be teachers or nurses by profession. Be-attitues of Effective Writing

Mostly us are good at oral communication but when we draft a mail or write a document we find it
difficult to dump our minds precisely. Following these Be-Attributes, you can win your writing
block in less time and ease. Frequent Writing - As simply stated "To write more with no block
you have to write more often". When you often write you tend to stay plugged with your writing
skills and there is tremendrous writing flow. Its been said that writing isnt that hard but sitting to
write makes a man feel too hard.
Using Outlines - It is always a good practice to outline whatever be your writing. As all of us work
in an IT work arena and we prefer to draft mails, write documents and test cases. Be it what, best
way to write, is by outlining your draft first. Outlining a draft is called a skeletone. If you are
writing is done periodically, like updating a document then, prepare a skeletone and save it.
Anytime you can open the skeletone and meat the document with the mandetory updates. This
saves a lot of time.
Use Templates - Template is basically a structure that helps you to place content appropriately.
For instance, if you have different content placed under different styles, you can create these
styles primarily and save them as a template. Everytime you prepare a document open the
template (having different styles), prepare the document using the styles and save a copy of it
locally as per your need. This helps you prepare a structured and a well organized document with
all the essential style that you need at any instance of writing.
Brainstoming/Captuating your Ideas - Now your writing mood, outline, and template is all set. But,
how would start your writing? All of us have our starters blinking to make a start. To make a
proper start with introduction, you could brainstom your mind by asking these questions - what is
this mail/document about? why do we need this mail/document? To whom is this mail/document
addressed? How deep/intense should I speak on the topic? Now pen down randomly whatever is
flashing in your mind. These points could later be correlated with the related informed that needs
to go into the draft.
Eyeing Topics - Now template with random ideas are ready. What is the next coin that we need
to move? Start penning down the topics/chapters that needs to go into the mail/document. Once
the topics are outlined, try to fit the randomly penned content at appropriate places. This would
concieve a rough mail/document by now.Growing with the Draft - Once a rough draft is ready you can go head fitting-in more topics and
content accordingly.
Finding Writing hours - Most of us write drafts or document hastily while leaving home or at edge
hours. While doing so we do not look back at what we have written. In general, content appeal to
look good at first shot but when we open the same content again, they appear to us with a
difference and we may even wonder if we were the owners of such drafts. So, its best to write
drafts at leisure hours and self-review our draft before sending them out at edge hours. Best to
follow a strict or favourite hours in morning or noon while preparing documents. This would result
in productive content.
Hope these be-attributes would help you write quality documents with ease.

An Inevitable Inheritance

Talent buried in us is greatly fathomed by mankind. Looking at the panaromic view of life, its a blissful feeling to accept that everyone is blessed with a talent. Its only that each of us need to expound the talent hidden within us. While I continue to ponder on talents, I remember a true story that happened in Lamp Town - Chicago.
Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Tina. Tina was an average student school and a very sensitive child at play. Since she was a silent child, people mocked at her and ignored her at times. Tina's mom Maria was an age- old sick lady. She was counting her days and also worried about her little daughter and her future. As Tina left to school everyday, she passed by a sign board reading "Join Mozart to learn Paino". Tina was coverted by this board. Everyday as she passed by, she would stop for a while near the Paino classroom door and listen to the lessons taught there.
Miss Fedrick, the Painoest at Mozart was an imperious personality. She kept observing Tina's visit and her hide outs to see whats going around. One day, Miss Fedrick stopped Tina by her shoulders and asked if she was interested in learning Paino. Tina wearing a hidden smile, replied NO as she was standing on a financial brink and never wanted to try on new ventures spending money.
Moved by her hidden love for learning Paino, Miss Fredrick agreed to teach Tina Paino at no cost. Tina happily agreed and started taking up classes. Everyday she watched children of her age walking to Mozart with instruments of varied shape and sizes. People discussed topics of varied music which sounded new to her. She was slow learner in taking piano lessons but her passion for music never declined. Miss Fedrick had sometimes given up with her learning as she was slow at her speed of learning but still continue to teach her. All of sudden Tina stopped attending classes and Miss Fredrick felt that it was a sign of relief and continue her ignorance on her not knowing why she stopped attending classes. Few days laters, the Children' Film society of America organized a Talent Hunt for children to exhibit their talent. Miss Fredick also had an offer to put up a show with Mozart music children. She decided to teach the children of her school play an opera.
All children were excited and were getting prepared with the lessons taught by Miss Fredrick. As they were preparing for the Opera, suddenly Tina popped-in one day and requested Miss Fredick to give her a show up at the opera. Miss Fredrick did not want to spoil the showcase and responded NO but Tina pleaded and finally Miss Fedrick agreed with a big sigh on her face.
Finally, the day came and children of various states were casing their talents on the ramp. Now it the was turn of Lamp Town Kids to show case their talent by their Opera. An amazing piece they played and they finally finished the opera with a bash. Now it was Tina's turn to play her piece what she has in store for the crowd. She started with low expressions on her keys but everyone were a bit worried as they knew her low grade at the Mozard school. But as she played the paino and there are immense cheer from the crowd. She was rocking the show with a bash of music. She was playing very well that Miss Fredrick was Num struck with her talent buried in her and how she tried her best to show case that.
After the show was over, results were annouced and the best performance prize was awarded to Tina to everyone's surprise and people felt happy on seeing her getting the master award. But Tina eyes were filled with tears. Miss Fredrick approached her and kissed the girl with a broad smile. She ask Tina how was able to play such a master piece with very less effort. Tina replied that her Mom had fallen very sick and this was the reason she could not turn up for the regular classes and before she died, her mother's last wish was that Tina should become a painoist and play the best music for her to hear it in heaven. When her mom told this Tina cried coz her mom was deaf and cannot hear her play any music and only she could hear her child's play paino in heaven. Speaking her last wishing Tina mom died. Tina energy boosted and she prepared her mind to play her best for her mother to hear her music after she reaches the pearly gates of heaven.
Isit this a lovely story for all of us to understand that all of us have talents in us. Tina never knew she was so talented in music. All she did was, she was passionate to learn paino though she could pay less attention to it. But her love for her mom to hear her play made her to unleash her talend lying inside her. Yes, friends all of us have a talent inherited within us, we only need to unleash it for the glory of God and happiness of people around us.
